TOURNAMENT KNOCKOUT FORMAT
In the event where a knock-out game ends in a tie, a simplified 3v3 format will take place in extra time. It takes place with the golden goal rule – whereby the team that scores first in the extra time period wins the game. After the first minute of the extra time and when possession has left the field of play, 1 player will be removed from both teams decided by their respective coaches. After the 2nd minute has passed and when possession leaves the field of play, another player is again removed from both teams. In a 1v1 situation, in the event of throw-ins and all free kicks – the player in possession is allowed to dribble the ball into play. Play will continue in the 1v1 until a goal is scored.
